Biography: "Martin Cummins was born in British Columbia, Canada. He attended the Vancouver Actors Studio where he trained under Mel Tuck, a highly respected pioneer of Canadian Theatre. Martin guest-starred in a number of US and Canadian television shows before landing the part of Nick Boyle in the MGM series Poltergeist: The Legacy, which was filmed in his native Vancouver.
Once that series finished, Martin continued to guest star in other series that were being filmed in Vancouver and eventually won the recurring role of Ames White in the second season of Dark Angel.
Martin's most recent foray into television has been in the Canadian-British series Dice, based on the books by Luke Rhinehart. Martin plays a police detective called Patrick Styvesant who is searching for the killer of a college student, and gets embroiled in the strange world of people who live by the throw of a dice.
As well as being a familiar face on television, Martin has appeared in a number of genre films such as Omen IV: The Awakening and Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, not because he was a horror fan but simply because they were being filmed in Vancouver.
Cummins wrote his semi-autobiographical film, We All Fall Down. He also produced and directed the independent film, and it was nominated for 3 Leo Awards. Martin himself won an award for his performance as Matthew in Clement Virgo's Love Come Down and won a Gemini 2024 award for his portrayal of Patrick Styvesant in Dice." - Martin Cummins Fan Site
